My name is Tyler Floyd. I am a computer science student at San Francsico State University. I was born and raised in the San Francsico Bay Area, and grew up in a city near San Jose called Newark. Currently my goals are to get an internship, and take my first step into the industry. While I'm not practicing coding or doing school work I have many hobbies like: photography, surfing, and video games. I am hoping to graduate from San Francsico State within the next two semesters, and after that acquire a job where I can continue to learn and grow.
I am still unsure of what specific field I would like to work in with my computer science skills. But I am keeping my mind open to anything that interests me. I have explored into web and game development as well as some machine learning.
Getting things done quickly and correctly is essential to any project. I'm motivated and hard working. If I come across a problem I do not know how to solve I will take a step back and learn what I can do to solve it. I can adapt quickly and work efficiently.
Having a postitive attitude is always helpful when working alone or with a team. Optimisim is contagious! It's always great to be optomistic no matter the circumstances. There's always a bright side.
Communication is key when working in a team. I can communicate clearly and effectively. Communication is a two way activity and I am a great listener. I am great at understanding and taking instructions and will execute them swiftly.
